Photographers! 3 ways to increase revenue right now
‘Tis the season for needing more revenue
Need to boost your income, especially as you enter low shooting season? Here are three ways:
Email marketing
Your closest sale is your existing clients. It’s quicker than new client acquisition because they have already paid you in the past. Create some special offers that are compelling and create an email campaign. One email is not enough! I recommend a sequence of 3-5 at minimum. Worried about “bothering” people? Don’t. Half the time people don’t even see promotional emails, so trust me; no one is going to feel inundated. If you send one it can disappear. Send a bunch and maybe one gets eyes!
Not only that but if they were bothered, they have power to turn you off by unsubscribing. We have too much to worry about already, than worrying more about whether people are thinking about the amount of email we send them! Let them do whatever they will do, and you do your part which is sending them an offer!
Print and album sales
Pic-Time allows you to create products and send a notification to clients and you can either make it modifiable and they can adjust and add to cart and send, or you can actually create a final product and drop it into their cart and all they have to do is check-out. You can add a savings coupon to compel the sale. If you don’t have Pic-Time, check the features of your gallery or website provider to see about the sales options.
Raise prices and make more per transaction
Raising prices by a few percentage points and you will automatically make more per sale. You can also revisit packages and create compelling upgrade offers to upsell people into a larger package. Combined with the slight price increase, and you're making more without doing more.
